Studio G is a self-service facility in Online Learning's Teaching and Learning Technology Lab that is equipped with professional audio and video equipment. Faculty and staff can use this facility to record video lectures or give online presentations. The studio is designed to be easy to use so an individual may use it on their own after an initial introductory session. There is a camera for video recording and a microphone for audio recording. Tools are also available to allow the user to capture their screen while presenting, creating voiced tutorials for students.
There is no charge for using this facility. Training is provided for simple recording and basic editing. It is strongly recommended that users make an appointment for training and project planning in advance of their work. However, no direct staff support is available for editing services or other advanced work. We regret that this is outside the scope of support for this facility.
Users should be prepared to take all of their work with them. Long-term storage is only available with prior arrangement. Contact Online Learning to make a reservation.
